colors of my garden giveaway!

good morning my sweets! i have such a special treat for you today!! yay i'm excited!

my dear friend emily {also amazing mother, wife, sister, daughter, awe inspiring yogi, multi-talented healthy living extraordinaire!} creates THE BEST body care products i've ever tried! her shop on etsy is Colors of my Garden, and i can already tell her business is going to be such a success because her products are beyond brilliant. everyday i use the sage oat soap, the wake up call coffee vanilla scrub, and the vegan body butter (with lavender and vanilla) and i go to heaven. seriously, i now light candles in the shower and dive deep into the all natural aromatherapeutic goodness. best part is, because the ingredients are 100% organic and natural, you can eat them them if you want!  i took a bite of the coffee scrub, felt like a weirdo, and still wanted to keep eating. hehe, it's awesome. that's how you really know it's safe to put on your body, because your body does absorb what you put on it. our skin is our biggest organ, so we have to be be super careful about what products we use. our bathing rituals are basically food for our skin.

emily, the kind and generous soul that she is, is giving away one organic vegan body butter (pictured above)! this stuff is sooo great, i really can't say enough. a little goes a long way too, but somehow i still managed to go through a whole thing in a month (i ordered another last night!). it's thick and super moisturizing, but it's not oily like some natural creams. the body absorbs it quick and then you are just a super soft mama! the ingredients are only unrefined shea butter, coconut oil, almond oil, infused herbs- grown in emily's garden in connecticut!, and essential oils of your choice. all organic. so dope. last time i got lavender and vanilla for my added scents, this time jasmine and vanilla.

you also might recognize emily, she is one of purusha's beautiful models.

  1. My body butter would definitely have to include lavender, but also something more energizing like ginger or some kind of citrus zest. That might be gross though! I'm already a "liker" of Colors of my Garden on Facebook and looking forward to picking up a custom order that Emily made for me this weekend!

  8. Sounds divine and thanks for the recommendation! I'd try anything as long as it's not too perfume-y. Oh, and I liked on facebook!

  9. If I get picked, I'd take Neroli and Ylang Ylang, unless if the artist would like to make her special blend, I'd trust her creation. I would LOVE to get one of these. Thanks for letting me know about her store! Soraya

  11. Liked on Facebook. I've been looking for natural body products, and haven't been thrilled with the things I get from Trader Joes; so many of them still have so many ingredients that are very chemical-sounding! I would definitely choose lavender vanilla- such a soothing combo!

    Love,
    Veronica C.

  13. OOO what a treat! Perfect for the harshness of the winter air now, my skin has been getting kissed by the wind a little too harshly haha Each of these creations sound devine.. what a wonderful talent to be sharing with the world :) And this talent comes with a conscience! If I had to pick one.. I think I'd pick a little adventurously and go with an orange and neroli combination. Seems like something that would help warm the soul and remind me that summer is still out there, somewhere! Although I'm sure Emily would know best what concoction would deliver that result haha Funnily enough, Emily's stunning photographs in the Dali's Rose pants inspired me to order them about a year ago! All of my friends know them as my "happy pants"...it's impossible to have a bad day with those babies on! Definitely liked the Colors of My Garden page on fb. Much love and warmth, namaste <3 Alexandra

  14. Hiya Hayley!

Firstly, I think it's wonderful you both are teaming up and that she's offering a giveaway. :) Thank you for letting us know that you could potentially eat this stuff... what you said completely struck my heart strings. That is so important to me! Knowing what I wear and put on my body is safe and eco friendly. Anyways, I liked her on FB. :)

  16. I must concur with Emily's friend, not only because I am the most fortunate mother of such a beautiful spirit, but that she is also my best friend. I am thrilled that she is benefitting all of us with her vast knowledge of healthy living and demonstrating to each and every one of us the importance of loving ourselves enough to take the very best care of our bodies, minds and spirits, inside and out. And to her beautiful friend Haley, who has sponsored this event, I thank you.
